Joe and Erin met while working on Hofstra’s newspaper, The Chronicle. Joe was the Editor-In-Chief and Erin was the Copy Chief. Though Joe had promised his friends he would NEVER date someone on The Chronicle staff after watching other editors try and fail, and Erin had sworn she would NEVER date a Yankees fan, late nights editing turned into a friendship. They went to everyone’s dream first-date destination (Staten Island) to see John Mulaney and Pete Davidson. Not even Staten Island or a broken shoe (shout-out to now bridesmaid May for saving the day!) could stop this budding relationship, and after a date to a Billy Joel concert, the two made it official. Five years later, Joe proposed to Erin in front of the Manhattan skyline on her birthday – setting the bar high for birthday presents for the rest of time!
